Here in St. Michael's we are striving to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible as our contribution towards Net Zero. On this page you will read about some of the things we have done, and what we intend to do in the future.

BIG GREEN HIKE - Saturday, April 6th 2024, starting at 10.30am.

The aim of the hike is simply to raise money for Eco Church, spend some time out in the air in God’s Creation, to listen to the birds, and chat, whilst remembering our dear friend Pam Griffiths, who was taken from us too soon on Christmas Eve last year.

The walk will commence at Roath Park Lake, meeting at the Lighthouse - weather permitting. If the weather is not conducive to walking, we will all adjourn to the café, for a coffee or tea. There is no set distance to walk, you can go as far as is comfortable for you - 10metres or 1 mile.

Some wonderful news! We contribute towards the Toilet Twinning scheme, where funds we raise are used to fund a project in a community that helps families to build their own basic toilet, access clean water and learn about hygiene. We have already received two anonymous donations to cover the costs of two toilets - the same number as our own. One is twinned with Uganda and the other with Nigeria. Thank you so much! Here is more information about the Toilet Twinning Scheme:
